Build Your Very Own Online Library

I have been using Shelfari for quite sometime now. Actually ever since they mentioned it at RA in a day (a conference dedicated to reader's advisory) that I attended last year. I find it so handy to keep track of books I want to read or have read. I often see a book at the library and think I would like to read that someday. I use to write it down on a piece of paper which I would misplace and the completely forget what book it was but now I just log onto my shelfari account and add it to the shelf. It is simple enough to use but if can be hard searching for friends. The only way I have ever been able to add my own friends is by sending them invites and them joining. I think it is a fun site to check it. When you add books it puts them on a nice little shelf for you.

Oh How I Love You Admiral Ackbar

Today I was checking out the blog Judge a Book by its Cover and I came across one that mentioned one of my favourite Star Wars characters, good old Admiral Ackbar. I could not pass this opportunity to make a comment. That Admiral Ackbar just makes me laugh so much. So much in fact I must share this.

A New Experince for Me

So I have never been very good at this sort of thing but I have decided I will give it a shot! Why not right? This is a new experience for me and I will embrace it. I am not completely out of touch, I am a frequent user of Facebook and more recently Twitter but my "Tweets" really only consisted of _______wants a banana, ______ is eating a banana, _______really enjoyed the banana (yes I am one those people). So I think this will be good for me.

Also just to verify, my blogs will not always consist of hula related content. Yes I love Hawaiian dancing and it is a big part of my life but I also did not want a boring blog name so TA DA! There it is.
